Jonathan Raven is a former special forces agent who now lives in Honolulu, Hawaii and who tries to find his son, while avoiding black dragons, a former secret Japanese cult whose members want the death of Raven.

Years earlier, while Jonathan was a teenager, his parents were killed by black dragons. He then joined black dragons to learn their martial art and use it against them in order to avenge their death.

Raven has killed many of them, but what remains of the members of the cult now seeks to destroy his whole family. Aki Mashahiro, a woman whose Jonathan fell madly in love, is killed in retaliation shortly after giving birth to their son Hikari, but she managed to hide it. Alas, Jonathan will not be able to find him.

Years go by and his research leads him to Hawaii, where he finds his old ex-military friend, Herman "Ski" Jablonski, a private detective in his spare time. Together, they are looking for Raven's son and help people in danger ...

Raven was an American television series broadcast between 2003 and 2007 on Disney Channel. The series followed the story of Raven Baxter, a teenager with psychic powers that allow her to see the future. Raven was trying to navigate through the difficulties of adolescence while using her powers to protect her family and friends from the problems she saw coming.

Raven Baxter was interpreted by actress Raven-Symoné, who had already acquired a certain celebrity by playing in the comic series the Cosby Show. In Raven, she played alongside a support casting comprising Kyle Massey in the role of her little brother Cory, Orlando Brown in the role of her childhood friend Eddie and Anneliese Van der Pol in the role of her best friend Chelsea .

The series was greeted by criticism for its positive representation of black characters on children's television and for its sense of intelligent humor. She has won several awards, including the NAACP Image Award for the best comedy for children.
