Final appeal (original title: revenge unlimited) is an American television series in 18 44 -minute episodes, created by Michael S. Chernuchin and broadcast between May 6, 1998 and April 9, 1999 on the ABC channel.

The series follows the adventures of Mr. Chapel (Michael Madsen), a mysterious millionaire who offers his services to people whose problems were ignored by justice. Armed with his intelligence, his charm and his skills in martial arts, Mr. Chapel makes a name as a vigilante in the pay of ordinary citizens.

With her team made up of Kate Ross (Kathleen York), an idealistic lawyer, and Quinn (James Gammon), a former navy, Mr. Chapel faces criminals and corrupters throughout the country. But he also has to face his own demons, especially his violent past and his complicated relationships with his daughter, Samantha (Tracy Middendorf).

The final appeal was greeted by criticism for its original combination of thriller and family drama, as well as for Madsen's performances as a tortured hero. Although the series was not a commercial success, it has developed a base of faithful fans and is considered one of the most interesting television series in the late 1990s.
