He is known for his role as Sam Koto in the American television series "Without a trace" and for having played in films such as "Lantana" and "Summer of Sam". Lapaglia began her acting career in the 1980s and played in many plays before making himself known in cinema and on television. He won an Emmy Award in 1999 for his role in the play "A View from the Bridge". Lapaglia is also known for its activism in favor of the rights of LGBT persons and for its commitment to refugees. He is married to the Australian actress Gia Carides and they have two children.
