Lauren was born on February 2nd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised in Texas, where her family still resides, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas. She then earned her Master's degree in the advanced training program at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre. After graduation, Lauren appeared in several theater productions. Lauren is an avid reader and was a member of "The Actors Gang," an experimental theater company headed by Tim Robbins. The actress is currently teaching at the Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
