Michael Ironside (born February 12, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian character actor. He has also worked as a producer, film director, and screenwriter in movie and television series in various Canadian and American works. He is best known for playing villains or "tough guy" heroes, though he has also portrayed sympathetic characters and he is considered one of Canada's most in-demand actors.
With a hard and very marked face, Michael Ironside is a specialist in the roles of bad guys. This Canadian therefore haunted a number of horror films before being used against use in V. He was also the vicious opponent of Christophe Lambert in Highlander 2; Schwarzie's enemy in Total Recall or the section chief in Starship Troopers. Very solicited for series B, we could see it in Emergencies in a less negative role and we can see it alongside George Clooney in Storm of Wolfgang Petersen.
