Ray Wise is an American actor known for playing in many films and television series. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. Wise studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art before starting his acting career in Broadway.
He then moved to Los Angeles to continue his career on the screen. He started to appear in films in the 1970s, notably in "Goodbye Columbus" and "The Harrad Experiment". He also played in television series such as "Dallas", "Knots Landing" and "Twin Peaks".
Wise is best known for his role as Leland Palmer in "Twin Peaks", for which he has received many positive criticisms. He also played in other popular series, such as "24", "The Young and the Restless" and "Reaper".
