Biography for Robert Knepper
Robert Knepper the son of a veterinarian, was born in Fremont, Ohio and raised in Maumee (near Toledo). When he was growing up, his mother worked in the props department for the community theater, and because of her involvement, he became interested in acting. Knepper spent many years working in community theater and high school productions. Later, he studied drama at Northwestern University. He is a resident of Southern California.
Robert Knepper takes a taste for comedy from her youngest, spending a lot of time at the community theater where his mother is an accessoirist. While he studied dramatic arts, he made his weapons on the Chicago scene before continuing his theatrical career in the New York in the early 80s.
He won his first role in Hollywood in the dramatic comedy That's Life (1986). In 1987, he played the main role of Thriller Wild Thing where he led a chaotic life after having witnessed the murder of his parents in childhood. A few months after Renegades (1989), he found Kiefer Sutherland in 1990 in Young Guns 2, then turned under the direction of Woody Allen in his musical everyone says I Love You (1996). He then played in the third part of the Mutant (2004), which comes out directly on video. In 2005, he successively crossed Bruce Willis (hostage) then George Clooney (Good Night, and Good Luck).
Robert Knepper also has a very prolific television career. It appears for the first time on the small screen in 1986 in an episode of The Paper Chase. In the following years he multiplies the roles of Guest-Star, in series like L’Enfer du Devoir (1987), Star Trek: Next Generation, China Beach (1990), New York District (1995), or Emergencies (1998 ). In 2001, he became the special SHUE agent in the face of charming thieves embodied by John Stamos and Melissa George, until the series was removed from the antenna after 8 episodes.
He returned soon after with a recurring role in Hôpital San Francisco (2002), before settling in the Caravan de l'Enrange (2003) where he played a radio host at the beginning of the century. After a detour by the experts: Miami (2004) and Point Pleasant (2005), the actor lets himself be locked up in the prison Break prison (2005) where he tries to join the escape plan of Wentworth Miller. It is his role as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell who reveals him on the international scene and opens the door to many projects on small and big screen, including the Europacorp Hitman productions and the transporter III (in which he plays the bad guys service against Jason Statham).

Knepper began his career in the 1980s by playing in theatrical productions in New York. He then made his television debut in 1989 in the series "China Beach". Since then, he has played in many television series, such as "Desperate Housewives", "Heroes" and "The Flash".
In addition to his role in "Prison Break", Knepper is also known for his interpretation of the bad Samuel Sullivan in the fourth season of the series "Heroes". He also played in several films, such as "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "Hitman".
Knepper is married to actress Nadine Kary and they have a son together. Apart from his acting career, he is also an accomplished musician and plays the guitar and the piano. He is also a fervent defender of animal rights and is a member of several animal protection organizations.
