Robert Pine was born in New York, but grew up in Scarsdale.

Pine also played in many films and television series, including The Love Boat, alert to Malibu, Stargate SG- 1, Dr House and 24.
In addition to his acting career, Pine is also a talented writer and director. He wrote and made several films, notably The Perfect Life and How To Marry A Billionaire: A Christmas Tale. Pine is married to actress Gwynne Gilford and they have two children, Katherine Pine and Christopher Pine, who are both actors.
Pine began his acting career in the early 1960s and played in many theatrical productions before spending on television and cinema. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in the Chips series, and he also received recognition for his work as a director.
