Biography for Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O'Donnell was born into an Irish family in Commack, Long Island. She was in the middle of 5 children. Her mother died when she was ten. She said that she watched TV nearly 24 hours a day. When she was 18 she dropped out of college and went on to do shows like Gimme A Break, and she produced and hosted Stand Up Spotlight. Now she works on her own down-to-earth syndicated show: The Rosie O'Donnell Show.

Born in Commack Long Island, her mother died when she was only ten years old, leaving five young children behind. Not being close to their father, they are taken care of very quickly. It was then that the television was both a guardian and the provider of distractions of all kinds. Rosie remembers that her favorite programs were the Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas talk shows. She was rushing home after school to miss any. But that is not to say that she thought she was making herself known as an animator of Talk Show. Rather, she thought of becoming an actress.

Her career began on stage at the age of sixteen, with a sketch that she had "borrowed" from Jerry Seinfeld, seen at Merv Griffin Show. Everyone loves her performance, but we warn her that she could not do comedy with the texts of others. She then became master of ceremonies for the comedy club of her beginnings, announcing the comedians joking and learning enough by the way to put her own show, at 20 years old.

Ten years later, Rosie had managed to build a career as a monologist. On television, she also made a brief appearance in the sitcom Gimme A Break, produced and Anima Stan Up Spotlight which, in 1992, MENA at its own sitcom stand by your man. The latter experienced a brief career. That same year, she picked up the role of Doris Murphy in a petticoat league, which led to the roles of the friend of Meg Ryan in Nuits Blanches in Seattle and that of Betty Rubble in the film Les Pierrafeu.

But she returned to her first love, television. In turn, she conquered millions of viewers who had an appointment every day with the one we nicknamed the queen of kindness and who has become the host of the aptly named The Rosie O'Donnell Show, broadcast on all NBC network.

In addition to her $ 4 million contract for four years, she won an agreement with the Warner to produce her memories.

Rosie O'Donnell is an actress, humorist, television producer and American talk show host. She was born on March 21, 1962 in Commack, in New York State. She grew up in an Irish Catholic family and began her career as a Comedian in stand-up clubs in New York.

O'Donnell is best known for its role in the television series The Rosie O'Donnell Show, which was broadcast from 1996 to 2002. She also played in several films, such as A League of Their Own (1992), Sleepless in SEATTLE (1993) and NOW AND THEN (1995). In addition to her acting career, O'Donnell is also an activist for the rights of children and LGBTQ+people.

In 2006, O'Donnell received a daytime Emmy Award for his performance as an animator of The Rosie O'Donnell Show. She was also nominated for a Tony Award in 2004 for her performance in the Taboo musical. In 2014, she was inducted at the Television Academy Hall of Fame.

Apart from his artistic career, O'Donnell is also known for his political positions and his comments on topical subjects. She was notably very critical of the former President of the United States Donald Trump, with whom she had several public conflicts.

O'Donnell was married to Kelli Carpenter from 2004 to 2007, and they adopted four children together. She also had a natural son, born in 1995. She is currently in a relationship with Elizabeth Rooney.
