Biography for Sarah Michelle Gellar

Eating in a local restaurant, she was discovered by an agent when she was 4 years old. Soon after she was making her first movie, An Invasion of Privacy (1983) (TV). Besides a long list of movies, she has also appeared in many TV commercials and on the stage. Her breakthrough came with TV-series "Swans Crossing" (1992). During 1997 she became known to the cinema audience when she appeared in two movies at the cinema I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and Scream 2 (1997). But she is arguably still most associated with her title role in the long-running TV series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997).

At the age of four, Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted by an agent as she eats with a family in a restaurant. She spent her childhood in front of the objectives of photographers for magazine covers, television cameras for advertising spots, and appears for the first time in the cinema at seven years in Over the Brooklyn Bridge. Sarah Michelle Gellar owes her notoriety on television. In 1994, she played for two and a half years in the All My Children River series, then played from 1996 the courageous Buffy Summers in the fantastic Buffy series against vampires, becoming the idol of thousands of teenagers.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is an American actress known for her role as Buffy Summers in the Buffy television series against vampires, as well as for her performances in other television and cinematographic productions. She was born on April 14, 1977 in New York, in the Queens district. She began her acting career at the age of four by appearing in television advertisements. At the age of ten, she obtained her first important role in the comedy for children Big Girls don Cry ... They Get Even, which earned her a Young Artist Award in 1992.

Gellar has also played in many films in his career, especially in I Know What You Did Last Summer and his suites, Cruel Intentions, Scooby-Doo and his spin-off, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Grudge and The Return. She also played in television productions, such as Ringer and The Crazy Ones.

In addition to her acting performance, Gellar is also known for her work as a producer and author. She produced and wrote the kitchen book The Kitchen Addict, published in 2016, as well as several television series, including Swans Crossing and All My Children.

Apart from her acting career, Gellar is also known for her activism and participation in charitable causes. She is a member of the board of directors of the Baby Buggy non -profit association, which aims to provide basic goods to disadvantaged families. She is also an ambassador of the Association for non -profit her Justice, which offers free legal services to women in the city of New York.

The Burger King commercial she did in 1982 was the first commercial to ever mention a competitor by name. Consequently, McDonald's sued her as well as Burger King. She also couldn't enter a McDonald's unless she was in disguise due to truth in advertising ("I only eat at Burger King" was one of her lines in the commercial). Ironically, McDonald's was a sponsor of the WB's hit TV show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997).
