Ted McGinley (born May 30, 1958 in Newport Beach, California) is an American actor.
He is best known for his role as Jefferson D'Arcy on Married with Children from 1991 to 1997. He now plays Charley Shanowski on Hope & Faith since 2003.
The appearance of Ted McGinley on a show as a main character or recurring guest performer is seen by some television buffs as a sign that a show might be becoming tired. This is because he has joined the cast of popular and enduring series later in their runs, and continued with them as they went into decline.
