Synopsis

21 Jump Street is an American television series which was broadcast for the first time on Fox in 1987. The series features a police unit specializing in street surveys, which pretend to be students to resolve crimes in High schools and colleges.

The credits of the series presents a group of young police officers patrolling the streets of a lively city. The team is made up of officer Tom Hanson, the youngest member of the unit, who is intelligent, attractive and charismatic; of the officer Doug Penhall, a childhood friend of Hanson who is loyal and frank; And the officer Judy Hoffs, an intelligent and beautiful woman who is often faced with difficulties related to her gender in the male police world.

The series was to be called, in the French version: "The chapel of Jump Street".

Holly Robinson Peete sang the credits of the series.

Peter Deluise and Steven Williams are united by the series "Stargate SG 1", S. Williams as an actor and P. Deluise as a director.

Booker's character was supposed to die at the end of the series. However, he was so successful that he ended up having his own TV series.

If the first season has only 13 episodes it is because as for Buffy the director did not think that the series was going to work well. He quickly saw his judgment again. They had already started to shoot the pilot of the series with another actor (I do not know who) in the role of Tom Hanson when Stephen J Cannell realized that the young actor he had discovered in "Les Griftes of the night "(A Nightmare on Elm Street) was the one who was to play the officer Tom Hanson. Just by seeing him, a little denied as Stephen J Cannell said in a program, he knew that Johnny Depp was Tom Hanson. Johnny Depp had signed a 5 -year contract but he was fed up in the second season because he did not like the image given to him, he did not want to be a sex symbol and a marketing product. He wanted to devote himself to the cinema and change image. He didn't want us to love him for "his beautiful mouth" and cannot bear to be told that he is beautiful. He turned the seasons 3 and 4 but told Cannell that if the series was still attacking for season 5 he would like to be part of it to devote himself to the cinema. Cannell understood his motivations and although he was under contract for 5 years he authorized him not to return for season 5.
