SynopsisRejected by the army who considers him a coward, the officer Jason McCord era in the American West and tries to survive despite the terrible reputation which is now his: he is a proscribed! The series featured Chuck Connors in the role of Jason McCord, a former officer of the Army Union who is wrongly accused of 'Having betrayed your country during the American civil war. McCord is forced to flee and live as a proscribed, seeking to prove his innocence while facing dangers and obstacles at each stage of his trip. The proscribed was created by Larry Cohen, a screenwriter and director known for his work in the field of science fiction and fantastic. The series was produced by CBS Television Studios and was broadcast in two seasons, with a total of 30 episodes. The show has been so successful with the public and was greeted by criticism for its narrative quality and solid realization. Despite its success, the proscribed was not renewed for a third season due to financial difficulties.
