Dark Angel was an American television series broadcast from 2000 to 2002 on the Fox channel. The series was created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee, and it was centered on the adventures of a young woman named Max Guevara, interpreted by Jessica Alba.

Max Guevara is a transgene, that is to say that it was created in a laboratory using human and animal genes to give it superhuman capacities. She was raised in a secret laboratory called Manticore, where she learned to fight and survive. When the laboratory is attacked, Max manages to escape and finds himself alone in the streets of Seattle.
