Synopsis

At 18, George died by receiving a piece from the MIR space station on the head. Having become "mower", she must stay on earth and guide the souls of the deceased ...

Dead Like Me is an American television series broadcast between 2003 and 2004. The series was created by Bryan Fuller and was broadcast on the Showtime channel for two seasons.

The story of the series focuses on Georgia "George" Lass, a main character played by Ellen Muth. George is a rebellious and apathetic teenager who is killed by a satellite fallen from the sky while he was walking in the street. After her death, she wakes up in the afterlife and discovers that she has become a "harvesting of souls", responsible for guiding the souls of people recently died towards the beyond.

With the help of his new group of colleagues of souls, George must learn to do his job while facing his own sudden death and the difficult life she leaves behind. The series explores the themes of death, loss and the way people face the end of their lives.

In addition to Ellen Muth, the series features Mandy Patinkin, Callum Blue, Jasmine Guy and Britt McKillip in the main roles. The series has received positive criticisms for its black humor and its unique approach to death and the beyond. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after two seasons due to low audiences. However, she has acquired a base of faithful fans over the years and remains popular among lovers of horror and fantastic television series.
