Synopsis
This series features Sammo Law, a police officer in Shanghai and a martial arts specialist, who joins Los Angeles police with the mission of finding a dangerous Chinese criminal. His mission is dragged out and he resolves many cases with the help of his teammates Malone, Dickson and Parker.
The Shanghai (or Martial Law) cop was an American television series broadcast between 1998 and 2000. The series followed the adventures of Sammo Law, a Hong Kong police officer sent to Los Angeles to investigate a series of traffic murders drug.
Law was an expert in martial arts and used his skills to resolve the various crimes he faced. He was helped by Terrell Parker, a police officer from Los Angeles, and also had to deal with Lieutenant Bobby Quinn, a jealous and suspicious cop who often tried to put him sticks in the wheels.
The Shanghai cop fears Sammo Hung in the role of Law, Arsenio Hall in the role of Parker and Tom Wright in that of Quinn. The series was known for its spectacular action scenes and impressive martial arts fights. It was broadcast for two seasons before being canceled in 2000.
