The series followed the detective surveys Chris Lorenzo and Rita Lee Lance, who worked for the police From the fictitious city of Palm Beach, Florida. The two detectives were investigating crimes related to the high society of Palm Beach, often involving rich and famous residents of the city.

The series was known for its glamorous atmosphere and its complex intrigues, as well as for its explicit sex scenes and its more adult tone than most of the police series of the time. The main actors were Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture, who both played their roles during the entire series.
