Synopsis

This series features two private detectives of a particular genre: Peterson T. Ryan, a former crook, apprehended by his future partner, Frank Mac Bride, retired police officer. Together, they "scam the scammers".

Switch was an American television series which was broadcast from 1975 to 1978 on CBS. The series featured Eddie Albert and Robert Wagner as two childhood friends, Frank Macbride and Pete Ryan, who find themselves working together as a businessman in a private detective agency in Los Angeles.

Frank and Pete had very different personalities: Frank was a former retired, calm and thoughtful cop, while Pete was an impulsive and adventurous playboy. Despite their differences, they formed a solid and effective team, resolving complex business for their customers.

The series was created by Glen A. Larson, who was also known for his other popular creations, such as Battlestar Galactica and Magnum, P.I. The music of the series was composed by Sté Phillips, which also worked on other famous famous television series From that time, like The Six Million Dollar Man and Knight Rider.

Switch was acclaimed by criticism for his light humor and well constructed intrigue, as well as for chemistry between Albert and Wagner as co-star. The series won two Emmy Awards and was nominated for many other prices. Although the series lasted only three seasons, it has gained great popularity and has become a classic of television from the 1970s.
