Rusty and her rinttine dog are the only survivors of an attack by the Indians. Collected by the American army troop of Fort Apache, Rusty is promoted to corporal and Rintintin quickly becomes the mascot of the regiment!

Rintintin (The Adventures of Rin-Tin-Tin) was an American television series which was broadcast for the first time in 1954. The series featured a German shepherd dog called Rintintin, as well as his master, an orphan child called Rusty . Rintintin was a loyal and courageous dog who often helped Rusty and Colonel Maccallister to solve problems and maintain order in their city of Frontier Town.

The series was very popular at the time of its broadcast and won numerous prizes, including a Primetime Emmy Award for the best dramatic series in 1955. Rintintin was played by a dog called Rin Tin Tin IV, who was a descendant of Famous Rin Tin Tin cinema, known for its roles in the 1920s and 1930s.

Although the series was initially broadcast in black and white, it was rebroadcast in color in the 1970s. The series was arrested in 1959 after five seasons, but it continued to be disseminated in syndication for many years.

In addition to Rintintin and Rusty, other recurring characters in the series included Colonel Maccallister, the Sheriff Joe Friday and the villain Mad Jack. The series was mainly focused on adventure and drama, and it often explored themes such as friendship, loyalty and honor.
