Rintintin (The Adventures of Rin-Tin-Tin) was an American television series which was broadcast for the first time in 1954. The series featured a German shepherd dog called Rintintin, as well as his master, an orphan child called Rusty . The series was very popular at the time of its broadcast and won numerous prizes, including a Primetime Emmy Award for the best dramatic series in 1955. Rintintin was played by a dog called Rin Tin Tin IV, who was a descendant of Famous Rin Tin Tin cinema, known for its roles in the 1920s and 1930s.

Although the series was initially broadcast in black and white, it was rebroadcast in color in the 1970s. The series was arrested in 1959 after five seasons, but it continued to be disseminated in syndication for many years.
