SynopsisThe fantastic adventures of the Neptune experimental atomic submarine. Voyage to the bottom of the seas (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea in English) is an American science fiction television series which was broadcast from 1964 to 1968. The series was created by Irwin Allen and depicts the crew of 'A giant submarine, the Seaview, and their adventures while they explore seabed and face dangerous creatures and crisis situations. The Seaview is a futuristic submarine designed to carry out long-term underwater missions. It is equipped with a wide variety of advanced technologies, including a research laboratory, a high-tech control room and a arms control room. The Seaview crew is led by Commander Lee Crane, an experienced and competent officer who is constantly confronted with challenges and moral dilemmas. The Seaview and its crew face a wide variety of underwater dangers, such as sea monsters, underwater storms and mutant creatures. They must also face threats from the surface, such as spies, terrorists and national enemies. Despite these dangers, the Seaview crew remains determined to accomplish its missions and protect humanity from the dangers that threaten the seabed. Traveling at the bottom of the seas was very popular during its broadcast on television, partly because of its futuristic technology and thrilling intrigues. The series was also greeted for its impressive special effects for the time, including the models of Seaview and underwater creatures. She was nominated for several prices, including a Primetime Emmy Award for the best special effects.
