Anthony John Denison is an American actor known for his role as Andy Flynn in the television series The Closer and Raydor in Major Crimes. He was born on December 20, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the Bensonhurst district. Denison began his acting career in the early 1980s, playing in films such as Red Dawn, The Cotton Club and The Terminator.
Over the years, Denison has continued to work in cinema, theater and television. He played in films such as Heat, The Rat Pack and The Shawshank Redemption, as well as in television series such as Desperate Housewives, Prison Break and The Young and The Restless. Denison also appeared in television shows such as The Tonight Show, late night with David Letterman and The Ellen Degeneres Show.
In addition to his acting career, Denison is also a producer and director. He produced and produced several short films, as well as episodes from the television series The Closer. In 2011, Denison was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in The Closer.
Apart from his professional career, Denison is also engaged in philanthropic causes. He is notably Ambassador of the American Red Cross and worked for the campaigns to fight AIDS and cancer. Denison is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the International Organization of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent.

Trivia
- In 1977 he was a life insurance agent for John Hancock Insurance in Poughkeepsie, New York. He spent his spare time in various stage plays that occurred in the New Paltz, NY locale.
- When Ken Wahl, the star of "Wiseguy" (1987), suffered an injury that incapcitated him, Denison was chosen to fill the gap by playing another agent, who appeared for the duration of storyline that the show was engaged in at the time.
