Ben Jones is an American actor known for his role in the television series cult Les Soprano, in which he interpreted the character of Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri. Jones was born on December 30, 1938 in Tarboro, North Carolina. He grew up on a farm in the region and was raised by his parents, Ben and Mary Jones.

Jones began his acting career by playing in local plays before moving to New York to continue his career. He then won roles in films such as The French Connection and Dog Day Afternoon, as well as in television series such as Kojak and The Rockford Files.

Member of Congress, 4th district of Georgia, 1989-1993. Democrat. Lost in 1986, won in 1988 and 1990, lost in 1992 after Georgia's districts were redrawn, putting Jones in the 10th district. Ran against Newt Gingrich in the 6th District in 1994.

Defeated by Republican Eric Cantor for the U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia's 7th District (November 2002).
