Synopsis

Located east of the Mississippi and south of Ohio, the little county of Hazzard vibrates at the slightest blows of accelerator from General Lee.

This superb red car, which has the southern flag on the roof, is unbeatable and belongs to the Duke.

There is Bo, the blond and Luke, the brown. Passionate about speed, they drive thoroughly throughout the county and turn the police in a praise. A font like his sheriff, Roscoe P. Coltrane: incompetent.

They live with their uncle, the taciturn jesse and they make the 400 shots with their very pretty cousin, Daisy. Everything would be fine in the life of the Duke, if only Boss Hogg was not there. Big, nasty, tyrannical, it does everything and anything to get rich. But the Duke watch over the county and restore justice to the chase…

Sheriff Faire-Moi (The Dukes of Hazzard in English) was an American television series which was broadcast between 1979 and 1985. The series featured the adventures of two cousins, Bo and Luke Duke, who lived in the fictitious county of Hazzard in Georgia. With the help of their cousin Daisy and their uncle Jesse, they fought against the malicious plans of the infamous sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane and the lawyer general Jefferson Davis "J.D." HOGG.

Bo and Luke were adventurous and reckless young men who spent their time escaping the authorities by making dangerous waterfalls with their car, a yellow loading dodge nicknamed "General Lee". Daisy was a charming and intelligent young woman who worked as a waitress at the Boar's Nest, a local bar. Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane was a comic and stupid character who was obsessed with the idea of catching Bo and Luke. He was often helped by his Enos and Cletus assistants, but the three of them were unable to get their hands on the cousins. J.D. HOGG, also known as "Boss Hogg", was the Deputy Advocate of the County of Hazzard and a corrupt man who was constantly looking to take advantage of the Duke and to enrich themselves at their expense.

Despite the diabolical plans of Roscoe and J.D., Bo and Luke still managed to escape justice thanks to their ingenuity and their determination. They were often helped by their friends, such as Cooter, a nice mechanic, and Uncle Jesse, who provided them with plans and tricks to sow sheriff and his assistants.

In addition to thrilling adventures and car prosecution, the series also highlighted deeper themes, such as the importance of friendship and family, the fight against corruption and inequalities, and resistance in the face of the oppression. Trivia

For the filming of the Serie, several models of Dodge Charge (General Lee) were used, ranging from the simple 6 cylinder online, until the legendary Dodge Charger R/T (430 CV!). This was obviously used for the close-ups. For each episode, 2 cars were destroyed for the needs of the waterfalls.

The two actors had requested an increase in their salary and a percentage on derivative products. Putting the door, they were replaced by "cousins" without success. They were therefore recalled by the producers.

On filming during waterfalls and jumps in particular, General Lee was weighted by lead plates located in his trunk. This allowed the car to remain more or less horizontally during jumps

General Lee, the star of Serie is actually a 1969 R/T Dodge, the engine is a 7.2L, which opens the door of some 500 canassons. Here are the southern sauce modifications: welded doors, local paintings, buffalo panels, stew arches.

Muscle cars already rare in the US of its outing, the prod torpedoed no less than 350 load. Ceratins models of now sold more than $ 100,000. For the 7th season of the series, the waterfalls were made with reduced models to reduce costs to production.

Actor John Schneider found his dear friend Tom Wopat in an episode of "Smallville", in which Tom Wopat was a senator, in the beginning of the episode there are even a few allusion to time where they were the dukes.
