One of three children, Charlotte Stewart was born in Yuba City, California, USA on 27 February 1941. In the 1950s, she studied acting in Pasadena. She is famous for portraying the role of beloved schoolteacher Miss Beadle in the popular television series "Little House on the Prairie" (1974). She was with the show from 1974 - 1978. Charlotte Stewart has also worked with controversial filmmaker David Lynch on two occasions, in the cult classic Eraserhead (1977) and the TV series "Twin Peaks" (1990). Charlotte Stewart was once married to actor Tim Considine. They divorced, and she married David Banks (whom she had met years before, when she studied the craft of acting) in 1992.
Charlotte Stewart began her acting career at the age of 19. In France, she is particularly known for her role as Eva Beadle, the teacher of the small village of Walnut Grove, in the small house in the prairie.
Since the end of the shooting of the series, Charlotte Stewart has devoted herself mainly to production.

It was diagnosed with this disease in 2002, but managed to overcome the disease thanks to aggressive treatments. Today, Stewart continues to appear in movies and television series, while remaining active in his fight against breast cancer. It is considered one of the most talented actresses of its generation and has contributed significantly to American popular culture.
