Courtney B Vance is an American actor and producer born on March 12, 1960 in Detroit Michigan, who studied in Harvard. It is there that he begins to take an interest in the theater, by appearing in several theatrical productions and by becoming a member of the Boston Shakespeare Company. After obtaining his diploma, he entered the University of Yale thanks to which he played at the first performance of the play by August Wilson, "Fents".
