SynopsisAn elite unit of New York is responsible for investigating particularly violent murders by studying the psychology of the murderers. New York, Criminal Section (Original title: Law & Order: Criminal Intent) is an American television series created by Dick Wolf and broadcast between 2001 and 2011 on NBC. It is part of the Law & Order franchise and follows the investigations of the criminal brigade of the second district of New York. The series is distinguished from the other series of the franchise by focusing mainly on the psychology of criminals rather than on legal details. The series features a duo of investigators: Inspector Robert Goren (played by Vincent d'Onofrio) and Inspector Alexandra Eames (played by Kathryn Erbe). Goren is a very intelligent and perceptive inspector, with an ability to understand criminals and anticipate their actions. Eames is more pragmatic and follows the rules to the letter.
