Born in 1947, he studied university studies at the Southern Connecticut State University, where he played American football.
In the early 1970s, he was a member of the Washington theater club and played in more than 50 plays.
He did his military service in the US Navy from 1970 to 1973, which included a visit to Vietnam.
He was a replacement professor and a football and wrestling coach.
Dan Lauria is an American actor known for having interpreted the role of Jack Arnold in the family television series The Wonder Years. Lauria was born on April 12, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York. He began his acting career in the late 1960s playing in plays on Broadway and Off-Broadway. In 1975, he played in his first play on Broadway, "A Streetcar Named Desire" in which he played the role of Stanley Kowalski.
He also played in pieces such as "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial", "The Indian Wants the Bronx" and "The Boys in the Band". In 1987, Lauria obtained her most famous role by playing in The Wonder Years, in which he played the father of Kevin Arnold, a teenager living in the 1960s. The series won an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
In addition to her acting career, Lauria is also a writer and has published a book entitled "The Girl in the photograph", which tells the story of her Italian immigrant background. He is also a fervent defender of the rights of veterans and has played in several plays for charity organizations for veterans.
During her career, Lauria has played in many other television series, films and plays, including "Law & Order", "The West Wing", "Blue Bloods" and "Pitch". It continues to activate in the entertainment industry and is considered one of the most talented actors of its generation.
