Greg Germann is an American actor born February 26, 1958 in Houston, Texas. He began his acting career in the early 1990s and has since played in many film, television and theater productions. Germann is best known for his role as Richard Fish in the television series Ally McBeal, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1999. He also played in films such as Drop Dead Gorgeous, Sweet Home Alabama and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
Germann grew up in Humble, a suburb of Houston, where he attended Kingwood High School high school. After graduating, he followed theater studies at the University of Houston before continuing his training at the Juilliard School in New York. He also studied theater at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
Germann began his acting career by playing in plays in New York before embarking on television and cinema. His first appearance on television was in an episode in the television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete in 1994, followed by several roles in television series such as New York Undercover, Law & Order and Brooklyn Bridge. His first appearance in the cinema was in the film Independent The Pallberer in 1996.
Germann is best known for his role as Richard Fish in the television series Ally McBeal, which was broadcast between 1997 and 2002. In this series, he interpreted an arrogant and cynical lawyer who works in the same cabinet as Ally McBeal (played by Calista FLOCKHART).
