Ally, 27, is a young Boston lawyer. It was not her vocation: she got there because she followed her boyfriend Billy, with whom she had been going out since the age of 7, at Harvard University where he wanted to study . And then Billy left her to go to work in Michigan, and this time she did not want to follow him. A few years later, she resigned from the cabinet where she works because one of her colleagues harass her. She then meets Richard, a friend of college, who offers to come and work in his office. She accepts but quickly realizes that Billy is one of her colleagues. He returned to Boston and married a lawyer named Georgia. She quickly realizes that she is still in love with Billy but what can she do there ...

Ally is actually a young woman looking for happiness. She believes in love. Her entourage often has trouble understanding it because she is introspective and, it must be said, a little crazy. She spends her time visualizing situations in a whimsical and exaggerated manner. For example, when Billy offers her a cup of coffee, she sees herself with him in a cup -shaped bathtub, then accepts her offer with a BĂ©a smile. In addition, it is a little neurotic. When she panics, what often happens, she says everything and anything with a frightening flow, which makes her systematically embarrassed

Ally McBeal is an American television series which was broadcast between 1997 and 2002. The series was created by David E. Kelley and features Calista Flockhart in the main role of Ally McBeal, a young and ambitious lawyer working in a cabinet of lawyers in Boston.

The series follows the professional and personal adventures of Ally and his colleagues, notably John Cage (interpreted by Peter Macnicol), Richard Fish (interpreted by Greg Germann) and Elaine Vassal (interpreted by Jane Krakowski). Ally must face a series of challenges at work, such as difficult trials and rivalries with his colleagues, while managing his complicated romantic relationships and his personal problems.

Ally McBeal has won numerous prizes, including five Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. The series was also praised for its innovative use of music and song, with many musical performances during each episode.

Despite its initial popularity, the series has experienced a drop in audience over the years and was canceled in 2002 after five seasons. However, it remains one of the most famous and influential series of the late 1990s and was widely praised for its unique approach to the professional and personal life of women.
