Biography for Kathy Baker

After studying French and dramatic art in California, Kathy Baker went to settle in Paris for ten years, far from the cinematographic environment. In the early 1980s, she returned to her lands, eager to make a name for herself as an actress. Her wishes are quickly granted since in 1983, she held the star of the play Fool for Love by Sam Shepard and appears to the casting of the drama the Etofffes of the HĂ©ros by Philip Kaufman.

Kathy Baker then marks spirits with difficult roles. Prostitute in the street, alcoholic in Clean and Sober, she collects the votes of her peers in the absence of real public recognition. The year 1990, thanks to his performance in the EDWARD in the hands of Tim Burton, marked a relative turning at this level. Recognition of the late public which does not prevent it from continuing to favor the small screen.

Alternating big productions and independent works, Kathy Baker, discreet actress praised for the quality of her game, appears in particular to the generics of Mad Dog and Glory (1993), the work of God, the part of the devil (1999), the prison of Glass (2001) and Tango Assassination (2002). Much more regular on the big screen, she participates in the historic drama return to Cold Mountain alongside Nicole Kidman and Jude Law, then embodied in 2004 Jennifer Garner's mother in the Comedy 30 years otherwise nothing.

Kathy Baker is an American actress known for her roles in films and television series. She started her career in the theater before moving on to the movies and television.
