Born on September 15, 1940, Merlin Olsen was a former American football player, playing first for the Utah State University and from 1962 to 1976 for Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League . In 15 years of NFL career, Merlin Olsen did not miss any match. After his retirement as a player, he worked as a sports commentator on Tamdem television with Dick Enberg on NBC covering AFCTOUT throughout the 80s.
