A native of Chicago, Weiss began acting as a child, appearing in local TV commercials. While in high school, he studied acting at the Second City workshop, and after graduation, he enrolled in USC's prestigious school of drama. Shortly after receiving his B.F.A. there in 1984, Weiss landed the role of Dr. Mike Horton on NBC's venerable daytime drama "Days of Our Lives."
Michael T Weiss played for several years the main character in the American television series Le Chameleon (The Pretter). He interpreted for almost ten years the role of Doctor Mike Horton in days and lives. He appeared several times in the Crossing Jordan series (supporting proof). Michael has two sisters, is single and has no children. Michael's second name is Terry and not Thomas. He was forced to add the initial of this second name because there is another actor called Michael Weiss.
