Since its first role in "Faraday & Company" in 1973, Sharon Gless brought his very special touch of humor and intelligence to each of his interpretations.
She is best known for her detective character Christine Cagney in the series "Cagney & Lacey" which earned her to win two Emmys, a Golden Globe and to be named six times for an Emmy. She reappeared with producer Barney Rosenzweig - which she married in 1991 - for the series "The Trials of Rosie O’Neil" which will earn her second Golden Globe and two other Emmys appointments.
In 1994 and 1995, she found her partner Tyne Daly for four TV movies recreating the universe of Cagney & Lacey.
In the cinema we saw her with Michael Douglas in "The Star Chamber", she recorded many books on cassettes and played in several radio dramatic.
In 1993, it was on the criterion scene in the London West-end that she created the role of Annie Wilkes in Stephen King "Misery" before meeting success with "Les Monologues du Vagin" at Madison Square Garden .
