William Martin Shockley is an American actor born September 17, 1963 in Lawrence, Kansas. Better known as Hank Lawson in the series Doctor Quinn, woman doctor.

Born in Kansas, Shockley was raised by these parents in a nomadic lifestyle (called "gypsy" in the United States), moving nearly twenty-six times in almost as many years. Despite all him and these parents settled in Texas in Austin, and obtained his diploma in political science at the University of Texas Tech.
