Tony Micelli is hired by Angela to take care of her big home. Tony, a young widower and his boss get along perfectly: we quickly guess that he could, that he should happen between these two. But things get complicated when the children are there. Indeed Tony has a charming daughter, Samantha and Angela is the mother of a young boy, Jonathan. And then Angela is a very busy businesswoman and Tony must manage the current affairs of the house. Finally, there is Mona the bulky mother of Angela. What obstacles, so that Tony and Angela can finally admit what we know, from the start ...

Madame is served (who's the boss in original version) is an American television series which was broadcast between 1984 and 1992. The series follows the adventures of Tony Michelli, a former professional baseball player who decides to leave New York to move into a Small town in Connecticut with her daughter Samantha. Tony is hired by Angela Bower, a single and independent advertiser, to be the guardian of her house. Angela is a strong and independent woman, but she has trouble reconciling her professional life with her personal life. She ends up hiring Tony to take care of her daughter, Mona, as well as the house.

Over the episodes, we follow the relationships that develop between Tony, Angela, Samantha and Mona, as well as the different problems and challenges they face. We also see the interactions between Tony and the other members of the Bower family, notably Angela's Mother, Mona's Father and Jonathan, Angela's brother. The series highlights the themes of friendship, love and family, and explores gender and generation differences.

During the series, Tony and Angela gradually fall in love with each other, but they find it difficult to admit their feelings and face the obstacles that stand on their way. Samantha and Mona also become good friends, despite the differences in character and personality between them. The series ends with a cliffhanger, with Tony and Angela finally together and happy, but without knowing what awaits them in the future.

Like many sitcom, the series has experienced some prestigious guests. Thus Ray Charles pushes the song in his own role. Ditto for the immense Frank Sinatra. More anecdotal, actor Bubba Smith, the Academy police wardrobe also had the right to play his own role. Otherwise with time a few novice actors at the time, made a long way.
